Overview
Join us for a detailed masterclass that focuses on honour-based abuse and other harmful practices including FGM, forced marriage, domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.
This session is clearly designed for professionals working across a range of educational settings, providing essential knowledge update along with guidance as to how to identify, manage, and refer safeguarding issues in these fields.
We will look at the evidence, trends and key statistics, and will explore the different ways in which schools/colleges can effectively identify, understand and manage the risks, and how DSLs can prepare for emerging challenges in these areas.
We will provide the key information DSLs, and school & college leaders and governors, need to know to ensure they are fully up to date with how to respond appropriately to these concerns, as part of an effective whole school/college approach.
